In a recent interview with TelegraphThe Oppenheimer star praised Aran’s acting skills, explaining that he “really can.” Despite his talent, Killian said he would not pressure his son to pursue a Hollywood career. “If he chooses to be a musician or a poet or a farmer or a cook, that’s up to him.”

In light of his own fame, Killian has long maintained that he wants his children to stay grounded, even if they choose to follow his career path. During the chat with Standardhe joked: “Most of what I do is extremely inappropriate for them. They are appropriately unhappy with my work. The father-of-two previously admitted he was “a bit jealous” of Aran’s “cold” approach to acting. Reflecting on Aran’s performance in Hamnet, Killian said The Guardian: “He was so cool about it, you know? He was coming off the stage and asking what the score was in the Liverpool game. The actor and his family now live in Ireland after spending several years in London. “We were in London for 14 years, both of our children were born there. We returned to Dublin only in 2015,” he told on Chair Expert podcast.

It is known that Killian does not like celebrities and fame, he prefers his native Ireland, as it is a sharp contrast to the hectic city life. The actor admitted about his life near the sea: “It’s quiet. I like where I’m at in life right now… We’re pretty close and it makes you feel instantly relaxed.”

Their stunning home is believed to have six double bedrooms and dates back to 1863. Their vintage home was reported to have no phone or internet, making it the perfect place for a serious digital detox.
