UAE accepts Hajj applications for seniors; more than 60,000 registered for the 2025 pilgrimage – News

Hajj applications for all persons aged 70 and over to perform the pilgrimage in the upcoming season 1446-2025 have been accepted by the General Directorate of Islamic Affairs, Funds and Zakat. Applications are accepted in accordance with approved criteria and conditions.

The authorities said approximately 60,248 people had registered for Haj through its channels, of which 51,732 had not previously performed the pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah authorities allocated a quota of 6,228 pilgrims to the UAE, which was distributed among citizens according to an organized Hajj reference system. The UAE authorities said the electronic Haj and Umrah system completed the initial sorting process in a smooth, flexible and transparent manner.

3 51 vouchers were approved for the categories of people of decisive attitude, persons with chronic diseases and senior citizens with accompanying persons, which is 49 percent of the total quota. This applies to all registered persons over the age of 70.

In addition, 3,177 vouchers were allocated to other age groups with accompanying persons, which is 51 percent of the total quota.

The authorities emphasized that accepted pilgrims will be notified by text message, while those who are not selected will also be notified.

The authority has reaffirmed its commitment to enable the country’s pilgrims to complete the necessary procedures within the specified time, according to the interactive digital Haj package as part of its strategy and early preparation for the season, which is in line with the vision of our wise leadership and the government’s objective.

It was revealed that the programs of the Hajj campaign will be approved and announced in December, encouraging pilgrims to follow its channels and communicate through the designated means.
